ABOUT ME

I'm a Montreal-based producer, musician (B.Mus.), sound engineer (M.Mus. candidate), and sound designer (A.E.C.). Recently I've been focusing on recording live performances of acoustic music (jazz, classical, folk, etc.) but I've also been working extensively in studio, recording, mixing, and producing folk, pop, rock, and electronic projects.

RECORDING / MIXING / PRODUCTION

I have experience with recording in different acoustical environments (concert halls, churches, clubs, and in studio). Different genres of music can require different approaches, but it is safe to say that I always listen to where the instruments sound best in their acoustical space and I usually try to recreate an "enhanced" version of reality.

Hardware - I use some of the finest possible recording equipment, such as Grace Design preamps and Lynx Aurora audio-to-digital converters, along with AKG, Sennheiser, Shure, and Neumann microphones.

Software - I use Pyramix Native as my main digital audio workstation to record live performances and to mix jazz and classical music. I also use ProTools HD and LE to record and mix in studio. For in-house projects and pre-production, I also use Cubase SX and Logic Studio.

If you wish to work in studio, I have access to different facilities to suit your needs.

Prices - They vary depending on the type of project / location / complexity / etc. I always try to give the artist different options when deciding on pricing for the project.
